End of Life Resources in Oregon

End of Life Choices Oregon provides personal volunteer support and information regarding Death with Dignity (DWD) and other legal end of life options to Oregonians facing end of life decisions, to the medical community and to the public.

This resource from The Peaceful Presence Project seeks to map existing end-of-life care resources in rural Oregon counties. The maps help to identify and develop cohesive networks of care that increase community resilience, as well as encourage higher quality and more equitable end-of-life care experiences.

Every year between 150 and 250 altruistic citizens of Oregon and the greater Pacific Northwest donate their bodies to the OHSU Body Donation Program. This free, virtual class series covers the natural spiral process of grief, healthy mourning practices, and the importance of ritual and ceremony, as well as dispels myths and misconceptions about grief in our society. Learn to identify your own unique mourning needs and the best ways to care for yourself. Develop resilience and find ways to have compassion for yourself on the journey. This series of 9 classes includes experiential exercises and question and answer sessions. You can engage as much or as little as you are comfortable.
