Sara Frain, The Peaceful Presence Project

Sara first connected with The Peaceful Presence Project in early 2024 after the unexpected passing of her mother. She was a gifted a copy of Endnotes, the organization's holistic end-of-life planning guide, which set her on the path of what has become her life's work. Later that fall, she completed the Rural Oregon Professional Presence End of Life Doula Training, where she experienced a profound sense of “coming home." She recognized the deep healing and importance of supporting TPPP’s mission—to reimagine the way we approach serious illness and end-of-life—and the Compassionate Community model of care.

Since then, Sara has co-facilitated Connection Cafes in Bend, helping to create spaces where community members can gather, share, and support one another through life’s tender transitions.

Sara brings a professional background in education, caregiving, the nonprofit sector, marketing, and project management. Her experience in fostering community, guiding thoughtful processes, and offering compassionate presence enriches her work with The Peaceful Presence Project.
