Whether you or a loved one has a terminal diagnosis or you are simply interested in proactive end-of-life planning, as a death doula, I can be a helpful guide and companion. I provide compassionate, nonmedical support to individuals, families, and their circles of care as you encounter and navigate death, loss, and mortality. This can help alleviate some of the burden of worrying about the details and allow you to focus on your quality of life.
I am there as an advocate for the dying person's autonomy and self-determination, contributing psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and practical care to empower dignity throughout the dying process. I provide information and resources to guide informed decision-making in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
I offer assistance through:
End-of-Life Planning: Advance directives, living wills, memorial planning, body disposition decisions, and documentation of critical information.
Companionship: Respite for caregivers, compassionate presence for the dying, a non-judgmental ear.
Legacy Projects: Life review, obituary writing, or capturing your family stories and memories in a genealogical record.
Musical Accompaniment: As a guitarist and vocalist, I can co-create a personalized musical experience that connects with your life and dying journey and is performed in your home or care space.
Reiki Treatment: I offer physical and mental comfort using the traditional Japanese therapeutic practice of Jikiden Reiki.
