Aerlyn Pfeil is an End-of-Life Doula with Death Doulas NW. She is an educator, and advocate serving individuals and families throughout Oregon, Washington, and the Pacific Northwest. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience and over a decade supporting people at the bedside as a death doula, she specializes in compassionate guidance through serious illness, complex and chronic disease, and the end-of-life journey.

Her work includes advance care planning, bedside presence, family education, advocacy, legacy work, and grief support. Aerlyn has particular expertise in Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED) and Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), helping individuals and families navigate these deeply personal choices with evidence-based information, practical support, and compassion.

In addition to her client work, Aerlyn develops educational resources and provides training to improve death literacy and expand access to compassionate, evidence-based end-of-life care. She is committed to empowering informed decision-making and ensuring that every person is seen, heard, and supported with dignity.
